Job Description
Corporate Lawyer – Mid-Level Associate – Global offshore law firm – Bermuda
DESCRIPTION:
Life in paradise doesn’t have to mean compromising on your career. This role offers a good Corporate Lawyer the opportunity to join a team with impressive credentials, advising an international client base on the offshore elements of high-value corporate transactions. You will work closely with a couple of senior partners, getting lots of exposure to clients and playing an active role in business development. It will suit someone who fancies a change from the typical City law firm environment but who is ambitious and wants to do challenging work. The prospects, both in terms of career development and increased earning potential, are excellent.
CRITERIA:
UK/ Commonwealth admission, 3+ pqe (required for work permit reasons), Relevant City/ International firm or equivalent experience
LOCATION:
A quick glance at Lonely Planet’s ‘top tips’ for Bermuda shows an eclectic mix of historical forts, museums and galleries, nature parks, down-to-earth inns, waterfront taverns and high-end restaurants. And beaches, plenty of beaches, including some of the world’s very best. Think white sand and palm trees, from the luxuriously developed to the wild and remote, this place ticks the boxes for a paradise island with all mod cons. It’s no surprise that Bermuda regularly tops lists of the best places in the world to live and all within a short flight of East Coast USA and a direct flight to London.
SALARY:
Expected c.USD160k at 3 pqe, very low tax (max. 9%), benefits, relocation
DETAILS:
The firm is actively seeking applicants and intends to interview suitable candidates via videoconference. We anticipate a start date between four and six months from application (depending on your notice period). Speak to Jason Horobin or Charlotte Hooper at Origin Legal.
