Family Lawyer (circa 4 years+ PQE) – Liverpool Full-time | Permanent We are seeking an experienced and confident Family Lawyer (circa 4 years PQE) to join our growing and highly regarded Family Team in Liverpool. About the Role You will manage a varied and stimulating caseload of private family law matters with a high degree of autonomy, while benefitting from the guidance of an experienced partner and a collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities Manage a full caseload of private family matters with minimal supervision. Advise clients across the full spectrum of family law, including: Divorce Financial remedy proceedings Private children law matters Cohabitation disputes and Schedule 1 claims Pre- and postnuptial agreements Draft high-quality pleadings, statements, agreements, and correspondence. Conduct negotiations and advise clients on settlement strategy. Prepare for and attend court hearings, including FDRs and final hearings. Instruct and liaise with counsel, experts, and other professionals. Provide guidance on and promote non‑court dispute resolution options. Deliver excellent client care, managing expectations with empathy and professionalism. Supervise and mentor junior team members where appropriate. Contribute to the ongoing development, profile, and success of the team and the wider firm.  About You Circa 4 years PQE within family law (more or slightly less will be considered on merit). Strong experience handling private family matters. Confident in managing a busy, complex caseload independently. Excellent drafting, advocacy, and communication skills. A client‑focused, empathetic, and commercially aware approach. A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to the department’s growth.
