How to find in house legal jobs

Yes, in-house lawyers are generally well paid. Salaries vary according to experience, location and the area they practice but top roles can command annual salaries in excess of £250,000. The average salary for junior role in London is between £50,000 and £80,000 while a senior lawyer can expect to receive between £120,000 and £160,000 a year in London.

Yes, you can but it may be challenging and may require some strategic planning. If your name was removed from the roll of solicitors, you will have to apply to have it restored through the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Once your name is back on the roll, you can apply to renew your practising certificate. You will need to demonstrate that you meet the necessary competence standards outlined by the SRA. In addition, to return to private practice, you may need to refresh or adapt your skills so they are more focused on client service and business development than the internal-facing work of an in-house role.
