Corporate Solicitor Jobs

Corporate law, also known as business law or company law, is the area of law governing the rights, relations, and conduct of persons, companies, organisations and businesses. It refers to the legal practice of law relating to corporations. Corporate law describes the laws relating to everything from the formation through multi-facetted roles in funding, acquisition, governance, restructuring and finally the disposal or merger of a corporation.

Each of these stages require specialist skills including banking roles in finance and refinancing, share issue and stock market floatation, merger and acquisitions, management buy outs and management buy ins, company sales.

We are in the era of corporates. The corporate or business sector has shown extraordinary growth in the last few decades resulting in the creation of new career opportunities for solicitors in this highly lucrative market. Whatever the economic climate there is always demand for good corporate lawyers as businesses are constantly changing and requiring legal advice at all stages. A business may be expanding through acquisition or contracting through selling off. They may need to raise funds through banks, venture capital companies or a floatation to acquire assets or property. Conversely, they may need lawyers to restructure ands sell off part of a business. So, whatever the market forces lawyers will always have an important role to play.
