Energy Law Jobs

Energy law, in terms of core legal disciplines, is a relatively new area of specialisation within the law, but one that is certainly set for significant growth and change over the coming years. Essentially, energy law covers all areas of renewable and non-renewable energy, including various aspects of law such as the use, taxation and extraction of both renewable and non-renewable energy sources as well as other areas of industry regulation. Energy law includes the legal provision for oil, gasoline, and ‘extraction taxes’ alongside the oversight of contracts for siting, extraction, licenses for the acquisition and ownership rights in oil and gas both under the soil before discovery and after its capture, sometimes covering adjudication regarding those rights. Solicitors and lawyers operating within the energy law sector will often work across both a national and international structure of legislation in what is a fast-moving and ever-changing area of law, as many laws have been passed to keep energy safe and to make the industry as environmentally friendly and efficient as possibly, particularly in areas of lowering carbon emissions.

TESTIMONIALS

Birkett Long LLP

“Birkett Long LLP has worked with Origin Legal on many occasions over several years. Origin Legal have always taken the time to carefully establish our recruitment requirements and we have a good working relationship with them. They identify candidates who are most suitable for us and successful placements have been made.”

HR Executive

Professional Liability & Commercial Litigation

“They are very different from the usual agency style recruiters and as such have access to a wide range of different jobs across the City. I briefed them on what I wanted and I found consultants who provided a totally personalized service. They were the only consultants to find me a job in Aviation. I had such an unexpectedly brilliant service from them that I thought you might like to know”

City Law Firm

“I have been impressed with the degree of personal service received by Origin Legal. Their approach seems to be to not bother clients unless they have someone suitable or a valid and relevant question to ask, which is appreciated, particularly in the current climate. The consultants are also honest, professional and friendly.”
