Corporate / Investment Funds Lawyer – Opportunity to do cutting edge funds work in one of the world’s premier offshore financial centres, the Cayman Islands.
As a global hub for the investment funds sector, Grand Cayman offers exposure to some of the most innovative, complex, and rewarding work a funds lawyer can do. Joining one of the market leaders, you will be advising an international client base of fund managers, banks and financial institutions on the full spectrum of Cayman funds work. This can be demanding, and fast-paced but the hours are reasonable and lawyers here enjoy the variety and the heavily client-focused nature of the practice, not to mention the significant lifestyle advantages.
You will be admitted in the UK or an equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction (Australia/NZ/Canada) and have strong credentials (at least 4.5 years’ post-qualification experience) from a good City/equivalent law firm. Funds experience would be ideal, but lawyers with a strong corporate or private equity background and a genuine interest in the funds sector are encouraged to get in touch.
The Cayman Islands
A world-class international financial centre, Grand Cayman offers lawyers the opportunity to do high-quality and complex work that compares favourably with that in a leading onshore law firm. Teams tend to be smaller, so responsibility and client contact come as standard, with many ex-pat lawyers citing the unique working environment and culture as a significant advantage. Outside of work, the climate lends itself to an outdoors lifestyle whether that be diving, sailing, relaxing on the beach or enjoying a bite to eat at a waterfront restaurant. Life here is good; rarely does anyone regret making the move.
