Corporate Solicitor – 5 years+ PQE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Solicitor to join a highly regarded and collaborative corporate team in Manchester.

The Role
You will play a key role within an established corporate team, working closely with partners and senior colleagues on a wide variety of transactions. The position will involve leading on smaller matters, supporting on larger and more complex deals and contributing to the ongoing development of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
• Managing your own caseload of corporate matters, including smaller transactions and non-transactional advisory work
• Assisting on larger, often complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
• Advising clients on a broad range of corporate issues, delivering pragmatic, commercially focused solutions
• Drafting and negotiating key transactional documents
• Supporting clients across the full lifecycle of corporate activity, from structuring through to completion
• Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, contributing to their technical and professional development
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, with a focus on becoming a trusted adviser
• Collaborating with colleagues across the wider firm to deliver a seamless service to clients
The Work
The team advises on a comprehensive range of corporate matters, including:
• Mergers and acquisitions (buy and sell-side)
• Corporate restructurings and reorganisations
• Private equity and investment transactions
• Joint ventures and shareholder arrangements
• Partnership and LLP agreements
• General company law advisory work
• Exposure to public company/AIM-related matters (desirable but not essential)
Clients range from owner-managed businesses and high-growth companies through to larger corporates, offering a diverse and stimulating workload.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
• 5 years+ PQE gained within a respected corporate practice
• Strong technical expertise across a broad range of corporate matters
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• A proactive and commercially aware approach to client advice
• The ability to manage matters independently while contributing effectively to team-led transactions
• A genuine interest in business development and building long-term client relationships
• Experience of supervising or mentoring junior team members (or a desire to develop these skills)
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to team success
