A top‑tier, award‑winning national law firm is seeking a Contentious Probate Solicitor to join its highly regarded Litigation team in Manchester.

The Role

Reporting to the Department Director, you will manage your own Contentious Probate caseload, working on a range of complex and sensitive matters, with access to strong supervision and progression opportunities.

The role will involve:

• Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 claims
• Proprietary estoppel disputes
• Will challenges (capacity, undue influence, duress and forgery)
• Applications to remove executors
• Devastavit claims
• Advocacy, where appropriate
• Client care, correspondence, and end‑to‑end case management
• You may also provide technical input to other team members where required.
• About You
• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
• 2 years plus PQE with experience in Contentious Probate / Wills & Estates litigation
• Confident managing your own caseload
• Strong client care skills and a sensitive, professional approach
• Organised, proactive and commercially aware
• Advocacy experience and exposure to both publicly and privately funded matters would be an advantage.
