Property Litigation Solicitor (2 years+ PQE) – Manchester
About the Role
This is one of the largest Property Litigation teams in the UK, consistently ranked highly by both Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, with a strong national presence. The team is led by seven Partners and supported by Senior Associates.
The firm is seeking to recruit a Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE to join its thriving Property Litigation team.
The team provides proactive, strategic advice to a broad range of clients including property owners, occupiers, funders and social housing providers. The work is wide‑ranging and includes:
- Landlord and tenant disputes, including rent reviews, dilapidations, lease renewals and service charge disputes
- Building and development disputes
- Strategic property advice and land acquisitions
- Possession actions
- Purchaser claims
- Trespasser and squatter actions
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Manage a varied caseload of property litigation matters, including landlord and tenant work, possession proceedings and trespass/squatter actions
- Act for a mix of household name clients, social housing providers, and commercial property owners and managers
- Work as part of a friendly, ambitious and collaborative team committed to achieving the best outcomes for clients
- Receive ongoing guidance, mentoring and support from highly regarded property litigation specialists
- Comply fully with information security requirements and all firm policies and procedures
About the Candidate
This role would suit a candidate who:
- Is a qualified solicitor with at least 2 years’ experience in Property Litigation
- Demonstrates a strong academic background, excellent organisation skills and sound commercial awareness
- Shows initiative, drive and attention to detail
- Is a genuine team player with a strong client‑focused approach
- Is keen to become involved in business development activities and has begun to develop local professional connections
