Job Description

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced private client and trust lawyer to join a leading firm in one of the world’s premier centres for international wealth management.

Professionally, you will be advising (U)HNW private clients and associated commercial and financial services institutions on the full gamut of non-contentious trust and wealth management work, spanning formation, administration, and regulatory considerations. This is varied and exciting work that will see you working closely with your clients, giving every opportunity to develop the kind of business relationships that are vital as you build your seniority. You are also likely to get some exposure to contentious work, collaborating with the litigation team on high-value international trust disputes.

Outside of work, you will benefit from the opportunity to live in one of the world’s most desirable locations. Bermuda benefits from a mild year-round climate, never too cold in the winter and rarely too hot in the summer. It is famed for its picture-postcard ‘pink sand beaches and crystal-clear ocean, but it also has plenty of history and boasts all the attractions associated with a lively and popular luxury holiday destination. And if you should need a break from island life, with regular direct flights to London, New York, and other parts of the US, it is particularly well connected.

To be considered for this role you will need at least three years’ post-qualification experience (for work-permit reasons) and are likely to have a strong track record of advising on high-value private client work in a good law firm (onshore or offshore) or perhaps in-house within a family office or trust company. You will need to be admitted in Bermuda, the UK, Australasia, Canada, or South Africa (for work-permit reasons).

You can expect a highly attractive low-tax salary with full benefits and a good relocation package including temporary accommodation on arrival. Interviews will take place over videoconference.
