Job Description

We are looking for an experienced commercial litigation/ dispute resolution lawyer to join a highly regarded offshore law firm in Bermuda at Senior Associate level.  The ideal candidate will have in excess of 5 years PQE in commercial litigation gained in an offshore or commonwealth jurisdiction.

Joining a respected Dispute Resolution team, you will work independently and directly with the Partners on high-quality international work spanning all areas such as mainstream commercial/ contractual disputes, asset tracing, fraud, insolvency, and specialist financial services and trusts litigation.  You will have advocacy skills and proven experience in conducting litigation to a high standard at various levels of court.  As a senior within the team you will also be happy to supervise, mentor and delegate to junior lawyers.

It is likely to appeal to someone who is seeking a change from the typical City law firm environment but who is as career motivated and ambitious as ever. The prospects, both in terms of career development and increased earning potential, are excellent.

Bermuda

Bermuda offers you the opportunity to live and work in one of the world’s most desirable locations. The island benefits from a mild year-round climate, never too cold in the winter and rarely too hot in the summer. It is famed for its picture-postcard pink sand beaches and crystal-clear ocean, but it also has plenty of history and boasts all the attractions associated with a luxury holiday destination. And if you should need a break from island life, with regular direct flights to London, New York and other parts of the US, it is particularly well connected.

Process

Interviews will take place by videoconference with start dates typically around 4-6 months later (depending on your notice period). Our clients provide comprehensive assistance with visas and relocation.
