Practice Area Litigation
This global offshore law firm is looking for an experienced commercial litigation/ dispute resolution lawyer for its highly impressive Bermuda practice.
Joining an acclaimed team, you will enjoy front-line exposure to a broad range of high-quality international work spanning areas such as mainstream commercial/ contractual disputes, asset tracing, fraud, insolvency, and specialist financial services and trusts litigation. It is likely to appeal to someone who is seeking a complete change from the typical City law firm environment but who is as career motivated and ambitious as ever. The prospects, both in terms of career development and increased earning potential, are excellent.
Bermuda offers you the opportunity to live and work in one of the world’s most desirable locations. The island benefits from a mild year-round climate, never too cold in the winter and rarely too hot in the summer. It is famed for its picture-postcard pink sand beaches and crystal-clear ocean, but it also has plenty of history and boasts all the attractions associated with a luxury holiday destination. And if you should need a break from island life, with regular direct flights to London, New York and other parts of the US, it is particularly well connected.
Interviews will take place by videoconference with start dates typically around 4-6 months later (depending on your notice period). Our clients provide comprehensive assistance with visas and relocation.
Highly competitive salary (expected to be in the range of USD140k – USD190k), low tax-rate. Comprehensive benefits, bonus, and relocation package (flights + temporary accommodation on arrival + expenses allowance).
You will need to be UK/ Commonwealth (Australia/ New Zealand/ Canada/ South Africa) admitted (Solicitor or Barrister) and are likely to have around 3 – 6 years’ pqe of high-value commercial litigation gained in a good City/ equivalent law firm or chambers. Applicants outside of that range are welcome to apply but note that 3 years’ pqe is required for work permit reasons.
