Senior Associate – Corporate

Our client, a well-respected national law firm, is looking to appoint a Senior Associate to its thriving corporate team in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious corporate lawyer looking to take the next step in their career, joining a well-established team that advises a broad client base on a wide range of corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, corporate governance and general corporate structuring work.
The team works collaboratively across multiple offices, giving you exposure to quality work, strong client relationships and plenty of opportunities to develop your technical and commercial skills.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in leading and managing a variety of corporate transactions within their Manchester office, working closely with clients ranging from owner-managed businesses through to larger UK and international organisations.
Alongside transaction work, you’ll provide corporate governance advice, support the development of junior team members and become actively involved in business development initiatives aimed at growing the practice and strengthening client relationships.
This is a hybrid position, offering flexibility to split your time between the office and home.
What We’re Looking For
🔴Approximately 4–10 years’ PQE in Corporate law
🔴Strong experience in mergers and acquisitions and general corporate transactional work
🔴Exposure to corporate finance matters, with debt finance experience viewed favourably
🔴Experience leading transactions or taking a significant role on complex corporate deals
🔴Excellent client relationship and communication skills
🔴A commercial and pragmatic approach to legal advice
🔴Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
🔴An interest in mentoring junior lawyers and supporting the wider team
🔴A genuine enthusiasm for business development and networking
🔴Healthcare sector experience would be beneficial but is by no means essential
