Are you an ambitious and talented commercial litigator looking for a new challenge? Join our clients’ dynamic and expanding commercial litigation team! They are seeking a solicitor with approximately 3-6 years of PQE, though are open to considering candidates with more or less experience. This role is perfect for someone with experience gained in a City firm or a leading national or regional practice.

With fantastic offices in the heart of Surrey they offer flexible hybrid working arrangements. Most of our team spend about 2-3 days per week in the office.

While we are advertising for a full-time role, they are open to considering part-time candidates as well.

This team of 14 is one of the largest contentious law practices in the South East outside London, rated in the top tiers of Chambers and Legal 500, and recognized as a National Leading Practice in Chambers.

They handle a wide range of contentious work for various clients, from individuals and owner-managed businesses to household-name PLCs. A significant portion of  the work is international, involving close collaboration with law firms in other jurisdictions.

They are committed to investing in the team, providing first-class support, learning and development opportunities. Early responsibility is offered, with opportunities to work directly with partners and take the lead on progressing cases. The team includes solicitor advocates, CiArb members, and qualified mediators.

Qualifications and Experience:

We seek a candidate with drive and enthusiasm for a broad range of commercial dispute resolution work. Experience in commercial contract disputes is highly advantageous, along with a passion for business development. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Have strong academics and high-quality experience, typically with a City or leading national/regional practice.
  • Communicate concisely and confidently.
  • Demonstrate excellent technical ability, drafting skills, and attention to detail.
  • Be highly motivated and reliable.
  • Work independently on appropriate cases with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a large team.
  • Exhibit commercial awareness.
  • Interact confidently and personably with clients, providing a high level of client service.
  • Take an active role in business development within the team and the wider firm.
