Find Your Next Legal Role Today

As a law firm working with Origin Legal International, you can be assured that our database of candidates is truly global

Over the last twenty years the Origin Legal international team have helped hundreds of lawyers to find roles in over thirty jurisdictions worldwide. This doesn’t happen by chance, and it doesn’t happen by taking shortcuts. Our methods are tried and tested, and they work.

We operate globally but naturally we have strength in certain markets. Onshore our focus is on the international offices of UK and US law firms, primarily in the Middle East and Asia, but also in key developing markets such as Africa. We also have excellent contacts with key firms in Australia and New Zealand.

Our specialist experience in the offshore legal sector is among the best in class. You will have access to our network of contacts spanning virtually every major firm across every key location in the offshore world; Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey and Jersey.

You will find our approach is straightforward and ethical. We listen, we advise, and in collaboration with you, we come up with a strategy to maximise your potential opportunities. It is confidential and consultative, and always built on a positive long-term working partnership.

We aim to provide comprehensive support at every stage from preliminary research to start date and beyond. From school provision or visas, to what to pack and booking flights, we will have the answers (or if we don’t, we will know someone who does!)

Recruiting?

The team at Origin Legal International has over twenty years’ experience of helping law firms to access the very best talent in the legal market, wherever in the world they happen to be located. Our network of contacts is truly global and we routinely conduct multi-jurisdictional searches. We work at all levels from NQ to senior Equity Partner across our core markets:

Offshore. Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, and Jersey, and the offices of offshore law firms in Europe and Asia.

Onshore. International offices of UK and US law firms. We have recruited into around thirty jurisdictions worldwide but with a focus on the Middle East, Asia and Australasia. We also have experience of recruiting into some of the world’s key developing markets.

We employ the full range of recruitment methodology, spanning global advertising and social media campaigns, a full suite of resources and editorials, and the use of direct search and selection when appropriate. The key to our approach is the ability to develop productive, long-term working relationships. We can send a CV out as quickly as the next recruiter, but are at our best when we are working in collaboration with our client, tailoring our recruitment methods to their needs.

Testimonials

Associate, Guernsey

"Whilst searching for an NQ role, I came across multiple recruitment consultants who were all too willing to push me in to roles that were not suited to me. Jason took the time to truly understand my requirements, listened to my concerns, and importantly, gave frank and honest advice. He went over and above to help me secure my dream job and I genuinely cannot recommend him highly enough." - Associate, Guernsey

Senior Associate

"Jason was one of the most proactive and helpful recruiters I have dealt with. He identified a suitable position in the jurisdiction where I was considering a transfer, which I certainly would have not found on my own. He then made sure that communication with HR was continual and that the recruitment progressed." - Senior Associate, Guernsey

Associate, UAE

"Jason's genuine, honest and informed approach ensured that my recent international placement was seamless, stress free, and most importantly a good fit for both myself, my family and the firm. With open lines of communication Jason provided honest advice and kept me fully informed of the recruitment progress at all times. I cannot recommend Jason highly enough." - Associate, UAE
