Legal Director – Private Client
We are seeking a highly experienced and ambitious Private Client Solicitor to join an established Succession & Tax team as a Legal Director or Senior Associate. This is an exceptional opportunity for a STEP-qualified professional with a strong commercial track record to play a key role in a successful and growing practice.

The Private Client team is a highly regarded and dynamic practice, comprising Succession & Tax and Family law specialists. Generating significant annual fees and employing over 50 professionals across multiple UK offices, the team is recognized as a leader in the industry. The Role
The successful candidate will manage a broad range of private client matters, focusing on Wills, Probate, and complex estate planning. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney for UK-based and international clients.
- Advising on estate planning, including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and income tax implications.
- Managing the administration of estates, including obtaining grants of probate, handling intestate estates, and dealing with foreign domicile matters.
- Preparing deeds of variation, gifts, and family arrangements.
- Providing strategic trust advice, including set-up, management, and administration in collaboration with the firm’s dedicated Trust Administration team.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A STEP qualification with strong technical expertise in private client law.
- A proven track record in business development and commercial success within the Succession & Tax specialism.
- The ability to manage and supervise junior team members, with a collaborative and strategic approach to leadership.
- A confident and personable demeanor, with excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
- Experience handling complex cases independently, with a strong understanding of Wills, Probate, and estate planning.
