On 21st June 2018 Origin Legal’s Jason Nottage and Stuart Phillips took part in the 20th Birketts Race for Business in aid of Farleigh Hospice. The race which starts from Chelmsford town centre is a 3.5-mile course around the city parks of Chelmsford finishing in the grounds of Birketts Chelmsford office off New London Road. The hot weather didn’t deter the 688 entrants who ran, jogged and walked the course where they were supported by various local bands and well-wishers. Jason who is more of a keen cyclist than runner finished in 372nd place in a time of 30:42 and Stuart finished in 146th with a time of 24:59. For comparison the winner finished in a time of 16:56. However, the most important thing is that plenty of money was raised for the excellent Farleigh Hospice as part of a very fun evening. Thank you to all of the organisers and marshalls who gave up their time and we hope to be there again next year.
