We are looking for a passionate real estate junior to join a successful and established team in Manchester. You will be a trusted and respected member from the beginning and responsible for your own caseload of tractions. Alongside this you’ll be a pivotal part of supporting both junior colleagues and senior Lawyers on complex, market leading transactions.

The Role:

• leading on complex, market leading transactions – specifically in the logistics sector.
• End-to-end responsibility for a caseload of transactions – specifically acquisitions and disposals and landlord and tenant lease negotiations.
• Supervision and support of junior colleagues on more straightforward transactions.
• line management responsibility for at least one other lawyer.
• A role in the management of the department

Responsibilities:

• Acquisitions and disposals of investment property – including sale and lease-back transactions.
• Negotiation of leases and associated landlord and tenant documents (acting for both landlords and tenants)
• Acquisition of sites for Development, negotiating development and funding agreements, dealing with disposals of development sites to investors.
• Supervising junior colleagues on property portfolio management including licences, consents and granting of underleases
• Overseeing junior colleagues reviewing, reporting and advising on title matters
• Advising on heads of terms
• Providing property support to other teams within the firm such as Corporate and Insolvency and Restructuring.

Requirements:

• Excellent academics, ideally gaining a 2:1 at degree level or equivalent.
• UK qualified solicitor 2 Years PQE+ PQE or equivalent.
• Significant experience in Commercial Property
• Significant landlord and Tenant experience
• Adherence to guidelines and procedures.
• The ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Enthusiasm to promote the firm and the wider team.
