Investment Funds Lawyer – London (Top-tier offshore law firm)

JOB DESCRIPTION

This prestigious offshore law firm is looking to grow their highly regarded investment funds practice in London.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced funds or corporate lawyer to join one of the world’s leading offshore law firms, gaining exposure to the highest quality work in the offshore legal market.  The ideal candidate will have an excellent academic record and be looking for a strong platform with plenty of scope for progression and a nice collegiate working environment.  You will be advising top-end clients on the full range of matters relating to investment vehicles, from formation to termination.

CRITERIA

• UK or Commonwealth admission
• Relevant international/ top tier firm experience and prior exposure to corporate, funds & investment management work is required
• Cayman experience useful but not essential
• Excellent academic, technical and communication skills with the adaptability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients

LOCATION

The offshore legal sector in London is going from strength to strength with several leading firms offering advice on Jersey, Guernsey, Cayman, BVI and/or Bermudian law from their City offices. The work is fast-paced and exciting and typically involves juggling multiple-matters whilst also enjoying extensive client contact and a hands-on role in business development. It is of course a perfect move for a lawyer who has been offshore and who is looking to return to city life but it might equally appeal to someone who craves City calibre work but who likes the idea of a smaller team and a less formulaic practice.
