Job Description
One of the elite offshore law firms in Guernsey is looking to recruit an associate into their employment team which sits as part of their Dispute Resolution and Litigation practice area.
The team represent businesses across a broad range of industry sectors. Clients include financial institutions, commercial businesses, actuaries, pension consultants, trustees and senior executives. They advise both local and international clients on the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious aspects of employment law, along with data protection and regulatory issues.
The successful candidate will have excellent academics, top tier training and up to 2 years’ post qualification experience.
Process
Interviews will take place by videoconference with start dates typically around 3-4 months later (depending on your notice period). Our clients provide comprehensive assistance with visas (where required) and relocation.
Requirements
The role is likely to suit someone with 0-2 years’ experience of employment law (specifically contentious matters). You will be admitted in the UK, Ireland or in a Commonwealth jurisdiction (e.g. Australia, New Zealand, South Africa). Applicants will need strong academics (2.1 minimum) and will have trained/practised with a respected City, regional or international firm.
Package
Competitive salary (likely to be in the range of £70k-£90k) with reduced tax rate (20%). Comprehensive benefits, bonus, and relocation package (flights + temporary accommodation on arrival + expenses allowance).
