Corporate Insurance Lawyer – Senior Associate Level – Global offshore law firm – Bermuda

DESCRIPTION:

This multi-jurisdictional offshore practice is looking for an experienced Corporate Insurance Lawyer to join one of the leading teams in one of the world’s premier insurance markets, Bermuda. The role promises exposure to the full spectrum of non-contentious (re)insurance work, advising international clients (insurers, managers, brokers) on matters ranging from set-up, regulatory and compliance through to mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings, as well as on all aspects of banking and finance in the insurance sector. You will have plenty of opportunities to develop your skillset and to build up your network of contacts, creating a good scope for progression right through to Partnership.

  • Likely to suit someone with 5+ years’ pqe and more senior applicants are encouraged to apply.
  • Corporate Insurance experience gained with a strong City/international or equivalent firm is essential.

LOCATION:

A quick glance at Lonely Planet’s ‘top tips’ for Bermuda shows an eclectic mix of historical forts, museums and galleries, nature parks, down-to-earth inns, waterfront taverns, and high-end restaurants. And beaches, plenty of beaches, including some of the world’s very best. Think white sand and palm trees, from the luxuriously developed to the wild and remote, this place ticks the boxes for a paradise island with all mod cons. It’s no surprise that Bermuda regularly tops lists of the best places in the world to live and all within a short flight of East Coast USA and a direct flight to London.

SALARY:

Excellent salary (Expected c.USD180k at 5 pqe), very low tax (max. 9%), benefits, relocation
