Job Description

We are currently retained exclusively by a Commercial Law firm that has recently undergone a change in the management of its Commercial Property Team. Under the new regime they wish to recruit a number two within the team and are looking for a lawyer with at least five years PQE, who is already in East Anglia or looking to relocate to the region.

Our client already acts for at least three of East Anglia’s top 100 clients and an international Fortune 500 company in relation to commercial property matters.

Work over the last six months has included general property work for a main car dealership with a portfolio of sites, an acquisition of some £20m worth of property for a corporate in the haulage sector and a refinancing for a major construction company. Additionally they act for a range of development clients including three different land owners on the sale of land to national house builders which transactions are conditional upon a variety of factors, including planning and site assembly or the putting in place of parallel contracts as a pre-requisite to sale and a major mixed use site at Stansted with a build out value in excess of £10m, which will include lettings to the NHS and a national retailer.

The firm also act for a number of Charities including The Varrier-Jones Foundation and The Papworth Trust in relation to their sizeable landholdings, St Elizabeth Hospice and RSPCA.
