Commitment to the Community

Supporting our local community has always been at the heart of Origin Legal.  The team aspire to give back to the people of Colchester by getting involved in fundraising events, sponsorships and local projects. We have a long-term commitment to making a positive difference, so we strive to get involved in as much as we can.

Our most recent challenge saw our Director, Jason Nottage, taking part in an ‘Endurance Walk’ all in aid of the new Colchester Cancer Unit. Inspired by the loss of friends and loved ones to cancer, Jason took on the task of walking from the centre of London to Henley-on-Thames.

His journey started by hopping on the train from Marks Tey to Liverpool Street around 5am on Friday 3rd May, where he began walking 40 kilometres across London. Jason and the rest of his team tackled more than 100 kilometres of walking in three consecutive days, raising £7,000 for the Colchester Cancer Centre Campaign.

Every donation received from the ‘Endurance Walk’ was greatly appreciated, making a real difference to the experience of being in hospital. Well done Jason!

Origin Legal have also recently sponsored a table at a sportsman’s dinner with Ray Parlour and Dean Saunders, in support of grassroots football and the Make a Wish Foundation.  The team were extremely keen to support a local football club and a fantastic charity. It was a great evening and a pleasure to be involved.

We have a proud history of working with local organisations to improve a range of aspects of community life. Whether helping to fund community events, getting active in fundraising days or sponsoring local teams, Origin Legal has and will continue to support our local community.
