The candidate will join the property team and will carry out land acquisition and development work for existing social housing clients of the firm. This is also a business development role and the candidate will play a key part in growing and servicing the firms social housing client base You will be responsible for managing a diverse and varied workload of largely property development work as well as work for a range of other business and not for profit clients while the affordable housing client base is being developed. Working in tandem with the head of social housing to grow the affordable housing practice firmwide. It is essential that you have the ability to work unsupervised on a wide range of development related matters for social housing providers including high value complex transactions be proficient at structuring transactions to clients advantage and advising on VAT and SDLT implications and have an understanding of the planning regime in relation to affordable housing including 106 Agreement implications.
