They now seek an individual of the highest calibre for an exciting opportunity within a friendly, energetic, private funded family department committed to mediation and collaboration. Resolution accreditation preferred it is essential that you are client focussed; working with the highest integrity; flexible, positive approach; and an ability to work effectively under pressure They are looking to appoint a senior assistant solicitor with the following characteristics: • Strong academic background. • Not less than 5 years PQE exclusively in private family law matters. • A demonstrable track record of good financial performance. • Experience in dealing with complex ancillary relief cases involving family companies, business assets is essential. • Experience in cases involving landed estates or offshore trusts would be helpful but not essential. • The candidate must be able to work predominantly unsupervised and be a "safe pair of hands" with excellent interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour. • Training in collaborative family law or mediation would be an advantage but not essential. The opportunities for career progression are excellent for the right candidate who would be encouraged to participate in networking/marketing/profile raising activities including writing articles for the legal press and participating in the presentation of seminars both to clients and intermediaries. Depending upon seniority there may be opportunities for assisting in various aspects of team management although this is predominantly a fee earning role.
