Our client wishes to recruit a capable and ambitious assistant to join their thriving shipping team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced shipping lawyer to join a successful and growing team which enjoys an excellent reputation in the shipping field and can offer good career prospects. Working for one of the region’s leading commercial law firms, you will be engaged in the highest quality work in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Shipping team advises on all aspects of dry shipping, multi-jurisdictional litigation, contractual issues in relation to shipping joint ventures, port operation and expert inspection services. Their advice covers: • Bills of lading • Charter parties • Contracts of affreightment • Cargo claims • MoA disputes • Club rules • Shipbuilding disputes • Marine insurance • Ship finance and sale/purchase • Cruise and ferry line operation The team has wide experience of acting in shipping disputes before the English High Court and in London arbitration. Work comes out of both the London and international markets and as such the team receives top quality instructions from a client base that includes cargo and hull underwriters and brokers, foreign law firms, most of the leading P&I Clubs and/or direct instructions from owners, operators and charterers.
