The firm is a leading and well respected Commercial law firm named throughout the Legal 500 and Chambers guides. The group’s IP work covers a wide spectrum of largely non-contentious work. This role will focus on contentious IP related matters, but will extend to non-contentious work. The team handles the protection, management and commercial exploitation of all types of intellectual property. We have a distinct “Brand Guardianship” service that protects trade marks; designs and domain names. Experience of IP litigation, particularly trade marks, design rights as well as copyright is essential - contentious patent experience would be a distinct advantage. This is a great opportunity to build up a strong specialist IP team to complement the Group’s existing IP work. The ideal candidate must be eager to build a team and develop this practice area. A proven ability to market and convert clients is essential as is experience managing junior members of practice group. Contacts and/or a client following is essential for this role.
