You will need to have a good background in Employment law, have a proven track record, and be able to work well as part of a team. Predominantly you will be advising a corporate client base on a wide range of employment issues, both contentious and non-contentious. You will undertake a varied and interesting caseload including: Drafting contracts of employment, consultancy agreements, policies and procedures and advising generally on the terms of such documents; Advising on remuneration packages and pensions; Advising on potential dismissals and the application of disciplinary procedures; Negotiating termination agreements and associated financial packages; Advising on employment related tax matters; Advising on redundancies, reorganizations and restructuring; Advising on changing terms and conditions of employment; Drafting post-termination covenants, advising on their enforceability and validity and acting in injunction proceedings; Advising on all employment related issues connected with mergers, acquisitions, contracting out and the effect of the Transfer of Undertakings (protection of Employment) Regulations 1981 of those and related transactions; Advising on all aspects of equal opportunities law; Advising on all aspects of work and family policy and legislation; In-house training on all employment issues; Dispute resolution and representation at courts and tribunals.
